Eos | Transformative Psychology

From the darkness, dawn rises

Eos: The Greek goddess of the dawn. Rebirth, new beginnings, transformation

Eos Psychology was birthed in early 2021. We have been running strong since, creating a space for women to understand themselves. The practice was created in direct response to the paternalistic and pathologising systems of care that we often encounter in the mental health space.

As a result, Eos is aligned with concepts of maternal care, feminine energy, and love. Suffering is often exacerbated by the self-criticism and sense of failure that comes with the never-ending crusade for self-improvement. Accepting our individuality and imperfections often paves the way for deeper change.

Who Likes working with Us?

Typically, our clients have been to therapy a few times before, but haven’t quite gotten to the root of their problems. They have tried the traditional methods of therapy that promote coping, but feel disheartened when they fall back into old habits. There is often a big feeling of stuck-ness, or that “something isn't right”. It's often hard to say exactly what is wrong. The words anxiety and depression don't seem to properly explain things, and they are searching for something to help them understand their experience. These are some of the things that people have usually been referred to us for:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Difficulties with body image

  • Difficulties with eating (too much or too little, or both)

  • Difficult family relationships

  • Adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse

  • Adult survivor of childhood emotional trauma/neglect

  • Burn out

We also have a particular interest in working with people who identify as Highly Sensitive. Lucy also enjoys helping people dive deeper into whether autism might help them explain some of their experiences.
